Chapter 1: A Fresh Start

The journey of reconnecting with my writing has been astonishing. By shifting my focus away from my battle with cancer and engaging with fellow writers on Medium, I have unlocked a renewed sense of purpose.

Just a week ago, after entering home hospice, I joined Medium intending to find a space for my scattered writings, a sort of digital archive for friends and future generations. What I initially thought would merely serve as a storage solution has blossomed into something much more profound.

The warmth and encouragement I received from the community enveloped me, urging me to share my insights and experiences that could benefit others. This unexpected support made it clear that I could still pursue my lifelong aspiration: to enhance the quality of life for myself and others.

I found myself pondering, "What is happening here?" These individuals are strangers to me; they aren't aware of my struggles. Yet, they understand. They recognize that everyone has their own aspirations and hurdles to overcome.

We all know that success is rarely achieved in isolation. It's about mutual exchange—offering value and receiving it in return, thereby enriching our lives collectively.

I had nearly abandoned my efforts to promote my two books on the Principles of Quality, convinced that no one was interested. But I soon realized that I simply hadn’t connected with the right audience. It appears that many people are eager to enhance their lives and achieve success, both personally and in business.

The key lies in allowing them to discover my work rather than me digging through their lives to find them. This is the essence of what we do on Medium: connecting with those who value what we have to share.

Now, I am inspired to write once more. The creative spark has returned!

With this piece, my first new story since joining Medium, I embark on the next chapter of my life, dedicated to spreading higher quality throughout the world.
